Alanna's 3rd Dr's Visit!

The pediatrician has definitely gotten to know us lol As I had mentioned in my last post Alanna's umbilical cord stump finally fell off this past Tuesday, but we noticed that the center of her belly button still looked just like the stump and was as hard. This had me worried, so I called today and the nurse told me that the doctor wanted to look at it himself and got us in only few hours later! I am REALLY liking Dr Magnuson. We took her in and the doctor confirmed that it was still a thin part of the stump. He was able to remove it and cauterize it with some more silver nitrate. It should be all healed up by next week otherwise she'll have to see him again. The nurse weighed Alanna and she has gained almost a pound in a week! The past day and a half she has been wanting to feed about every 1 1/2 hours, so I assumed she was going through a growth spurt. Our little chunky monkey:D

Stats:
- Weight: 11lbs 3oz
- Length: The nurse did not measure, but I am sure it would have been an increase also due to the next stat.
- Clothing Size: 0-3 months (most of her newborn onesies are almost too snug on her and very difficult to get her into and out)
- Diaper Size: 1
- Mood: Still about the same. Less cranky! I have discovered that placing my hand on her belly and applying some pressure seems to help when she cries out while nursing.
