* Alanna @ 4 Months *

Alanna had her 4-Month check-up on 07/07/11. Here are the stats: - Weight: 16 lbs 4 oz - Length: 25 1/2 in - Clothing Size: 6 Months - Diaper Size: 2 - Sleep pattern: Falls asleep around 9 PM and wakes up usually once or twice a night. - Feeding pattern: Drinks from the bottle frequently during the day and nurses every 2-3 hours at night. She also started eating rice and oatmeal cereal. - Mood: Happy and easy during the day and in the middle of the night and no more cranky baby!

Feeding I personally like the Beechnut brand for cereals from a quick scan of nutrition panel and as a bonus there are always coupons available. To feed the cereal, we use the following feeder. You can supposedly use it with food also, but I would mostly recommend it for cereal. The feeder locks and has a cap!

We got Alanna an ExerSaucer, which supposedly had over 44 activities, except we couldn't really see that and Alanna had still no interest in it after a week. We took it back and found her the Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo later, which she absolutely adores. 07.17.11

The Bumbo & Tray... At first glance a neat concept, but not for our strong little one! The backrest is not tall enough and Alanna kept bending backwards over it even with the tray on it! A month later when her feet were able to reach whatever surface you had it on, she would push herself around in it. The Bumbo was a gift and we continued to use just for feedings because how light and easy it was to move around until she was about 7 months when we got rid of it and bought a space saver high chair.
