Josh and I were told by the ultra sound tech that we are having a little girl! Aubrey Nicole Brack will be her name.
We were hoping for a boy because I've always wanted a mini version of Josh and Josh wanted a boy in order to be able to share all of his masculine interests and knowledge on technical stuff with. I guess we both thought it'd be easier:) Josh made the tech check the baby's gender 3 times! In the end it took only a day to get used to the fact that we are having a girl and now we are just really excited to get everything ready for her and hold her in our arms in 4 more months. We also don't have to worry now about agreeing on a boy's name:D
The tech commented that the baby has long fingers and toes. Perhaps she'll be tall like her daddy:) The tech was unable to take perfect pics or get a measurement of how long she is because she wouldn't stop moving around! She weighs about 12 ounces. I've always thought that I would freak out feeling a living being moving around inside me, but now that I feel her more and more, I look forward to it and worry when I don't for a long period :) The thought of how much bigger she will get and be at birth is what is really getting to me now!
We already have her going home outfit and paint color for the nursery (it's called beachnut). I think I will try painting this coming weekend! So much to do before she arrives! I will post pics as the nursery comes together.
So... I googled "beachnut" to see what color and I guess it's called "beechnut"! Thanks for that goose-chase :P Never make things easy on me so why start now, huh? lol. I like the color, it's comforting -- good choice!
ReplyDeleteI like the name as well (the middle name anyway! j/k) and am still laughing about how we all think she is going to probably go by Nicole; but then again she might surprise us! Aubrey is starting to grow on me very little by little, darnit :)
I wish I could see you while you are pregnant and feel the lil one kick, but I hope there will be more babies so I get to experience that still some time :D
