I am now at the weekly OB check point. Yay! (NOT) I had to cancel my appointment earlier this week due to the blizzard that came through Missouri and wanted to just reschedule for next week, but my Dr would not hear of it. He insisted I come in and get checked. So, I did yesterday. I have yet again gained tons of weight somehow... and am 2 cm dilated. The Dr thinks that she will be born by February 25, which is exactly only 3 weeks away! He gave me the option to schedule getting induced on February 25, but I think that I will just play it by ear. If the Dr was that concerned, then surely he would have insisted on scheduling it rather than leaving it to me, right? I just pray I will not need a c-section as big as she is predicted to be. I'm physically exhausted and am actually taking naps again. My body definitely feels much heavier and the swelling in my lower legs, feet, and hands have gotten a little worse. I really don't have too much to complain about and am grateful that the pregnancy has been smooth and fairly easy thanks to my wonderful support system at work and at home.
Other than that, I actually made some progress in preparing for our little one! I'm still not in nesting mode and am starting to worry that there is something wrong with me lol Here is a list of this week's accomplishments:
- Washed a few outfits and blankets. (It is SOOOO strange and cute folding the tiny clothes!)
- Packed my hospital bag and one for the baby (along with a few items for daddy)
- Josh put together the crib and we arranged the furniture in the nursery. I'm very happy with the set we picked:) He also found a vintage looking night lamp which goes perfectly with the iron dress form I got. He officially came up with a theme for the nursery: Vintage Parisian. I just love how involved and excited my hubby is in picking out furniture and clothes for his daughter.
- Went shopping with Amanda and found some neat items to further decorate the nursery. Thanks girlie!
We still have A LOT left to do! My wonderful friends have 2 separate baby showers scheduled next week (Tuesday and Thursday) and after that Josh and I will have a major shopping run for everything missing on the must-have-list. Hopefully the weather will not change the plans.
Josh has this weekend off and it just occurred to me that it will most likely be the last one he and I get to spend alone together. Soon our lives will be forever changed... :)
