4-Week Check up
Friday I had my 4-week check up since Alanna's birth. I saw the nurse since the doctor was stuck at the hospital. She examined the incision site and told me everything looked really good. I'm going to continue having some degree of pain/discomfort for a while at the incision and epidural sites. She also recommended to wait at least 1 year before becoming pregnant again. I asked her how many pregnancies one could have after a C-section and she informed me that they have patients who have had 3 or 4, but the doctor does not recommend that. So, it sounds like our next pregnancy will also be our last regardless of the sex of the baby! Josh and I have always planned on 2 anyway. I go back in 2 weeks and should be released back to work.
Alanna's Social Visits
Friday was also a very big day for our little one. Alanna was dressed in a nautical blue and white outfit picked out by her daddy. Too bad the weather was cold and rainy:/ She was introduced to MANY wonderful people. She was asleep pretty much the entire time. We will visit again when she's a little older and more interactive! Perhaps Daddy can bring her into town on his day off for lunch;) It was really good seeing everyone. We did a bit of running around in Springfield and on our way home visited Debra and Darrel who ended up taking us out to dinner. Thanks you two:) We had such a great time and thank you for calming a fussy Alanna during dinner! We didn't get home until after 9 PM and were in bed before 11 PM. Alanna slept for 4 hours straight and then for another 3 hours! Yay:D
I'm sorry for not having any photos to post. I don't know why I did not think of grabbing the camera on my way out:/ I will have to be better about that because she's growing fast and I want as many tangible memories of her.
